Cookie policy.

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. They allow the site to remember things between page loads — most usefully, that you are signed in. Cookies have been around since the early days of the web, and they are not, in themselves, sinister. What matters is what each cookie is used for and how long it lives.

This page explains the cookies Paylap Invest uses, and your rights around them under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP).

We use four categories of cookies. We do not use any others.

• Strictly necessary cookies. These keep you signed in, secure your session against CSRF attacks, and remember basic preferences like a collapsed sidebar. The platform cannot function without these.
• Preference cookies.Remember things like the last property you looked at, so you don't have to scroll back to it. You can clear these in your browser without affecting platform functionality.
• Analytics cookies. Help us understand how visitors use the site, so we can improve the parts that confuse people. We use server-side analytics where we can; the small set of client-side analytics we do run is anonymised and aggregated.
• Functional cookies. Used by third-party services we integrate — for example, the payment gateway during checkout. These cookies are set by the third party, not by us, and are limited to the page that needs them.

We do not use cross-site tracking cookies. We do not sell or share cookie-derived data with advertising networks.

Under the DPDP Act, 2023, your consent for non-essential data processing must be free, specific, informed, and capable of being withdrawn at any time. On Paylap Invest:

• Strictly necessary cookies are set without a consent banner — they are required to deliver the service you have asked for, which is a recognised lawful basis.
• Other cookie categories are set only after you provide consent through the cookie preferences widget on your first visit.
• You can withdraw or change your consent at any time using the preferences widget (look for the cookie icon in the footer), or by clearing cookies in your browser. Withdrawing consent does not affect actions taken before the withdrawal.

Cookie lifetimes vary by purpose:

• Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Most of our security-related cookies fall here.
• Persistent cookies remain on your device for a defined period — typically 30 to 365 days, depending on the cookie. The preferences widget shows the lifetime of each cookie we set.

When a cookie reaches its expiry, your browser deletes it automatically. You can also delete cookies manually at any time from your browser settings.

Every modern browser lets you view, accept, and delete cookies — and block third- party cookies entirely if you want. The exact path differs by browser but the common ones are:

• Chrome → Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
• Firefox → Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
• Safari → Preferences → Privacy
• Edge → Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Blocking all cookies will prevent you from staying signed in to Paylap Invest or using protected pages. We recommend allowing the strictly necessary category at minimum.

We may update this policy if we change the cookies we use or if the legal framework around them changes. The "last reviewed" date at the bottom of this page is updated each time. For significant changes, we will also notify investors who hold an active account.
