In-app deletion, or email from your registered address.

Either path closes your Paylap Invest account, removes you from marketing, and erases personal data we are not legally required to keep. Pick whichever is easier.

    Method 1

    Delete from inside the app

    The fastest path. Available from the Paylap Invest mobile app once you are signed in. No support ticket required.

    Steps

    1. 1Open the Paylap Invest app and sign in with your registered email or phone.
    2. 2Tap Profile in the bottom navigation.
    3. 3Open Settings → Account.
    4. 4Tap Delete account and confirm with the OTP sent to your registered phone.
    Account flagged immediately. Data removed within 30 days.

    Method 2

    Request by email

    Use this if you can't access the app, lost your phone, or your account is suspended. Email us from the address registered on your account so we can verify ownership.

    4. 4We reply with a confirmation within 3 working days and complete deletion within 30 days.

What happens to your data

What we delete, and what we are required to keep.

Indian financial-services regulators require us to keep certain records even after you leave. We keep the minimum required, for the minimum time required, and only for the regulator's purposes.

Deleted permanently

  • Profile information name, email, phone, address, photo
  • Login credentials and password
  • KYC selfie and ID document images
  • Bank account & UPI details saved for payouts
  • App preferences and notification settings
  • In-app activity, browsing, and analytics events tied to your account
  • Support tickets and chat history

Retained for legal compliance

  • KYC records (PAN, Aadhaar reference, verification logs) Retained for 7 years per RBI / SEBI / PMLA recordkeeping rules.
  • Transaction history and payment records Retained for 7 years per Indian financial-regulation recordkeeping rules.
  • Signed investment agreements and e-signed documents Retained for the life of the contract plus statutory limitation period.
  • Tax records (TDS, Form 16A, AIS-reported entries) Retained for 7 years per Income Tax Act requirements.
  • Anonymised, aggregated analytics No longer linked to you personally; cannot be re-identified.

These records are retained only for regulatory compliance. They cannot be used for marketing, profiling, or shared with new third parties.

What to include in your email request

Requests with these details get processed faster, because the team doesn't need to come back and ask for them.

  • Your registered email address
  • Your registered phone number
  • Subject: "Account Deletion Request"
  • Confirmation that you want the account permanently closed
  • A new contact email (optional, for the confirmation reply)
  • Reason for deletion (optional — helps us improve)

Before you delete — things to know

  • Active investments must be settled first. If you hold an active investment or pending payout, the account stays open until the booking matures or your withdrawal completes. Personal data not tied to the transaction is still removed.
  • Deletion is permanent. Once your account is closed you cannot log back in. To invest again you would create a new account and complete KYC fresh.
  • Marketing stops immediately. You are removed from product, marketing, and SMS lists the same day, even before personal data is fully erased.
  • Download your data first if you want a copy. Email privacy@paylapinvest.com with the subject "Data Export Request" and we will send a machine-readable export within 30 days.
